Ah yes, the blog! Last active in Fall, I see. Since then, we've had a tremendous holiday season, we've seen friends pass through and made new ones. We've had events, demos, scheduled parties and impromptu ones. We've brought in new things, pretty much daily, and sold others. And well, with all that, we didn't blog much.
So here are some things that happened since, oh, say, October.
We had lots of classes, including the recurring, It's Rhode Island, Learn How to Shuck already! Check back, because we have that several times a year.
We collected some of our favorite bee themed products in our annual "Salute to Bees." Keep your colonies healthy!
We started carrying lots of fun small batch food products, including these sauces from our Boston heroes, Mei Mei.
We solidified our relationship with the massively talented Chef Andrew Shotts to carry the entire line of Garrison Chocolates. We had a delicious Valentine's Day and a robust Easter. Looking forward to Mother's Day next!
We celebrated with our friends at Townsman, saw lots of Stock art up on the walls there and hung out with a bunch of our fave chefs from Providence too.
And ... we're still reeling from this, but we won the Local Hero category in Edible Rhody, alongside some seriously inspirational folk, like Chef Derek Wagner at Nick's on Broadway, the team at the food incubator Hope & Main and aquaculture game changer, Perry Raso of Matunuck Oysters.
So that's some of it. At the rate I "blog", I'll give you a nice summer update sometime in November.
